- This role requires a deep understanding of the steps entrepreneurs and small businesses take to set up their business, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in business development
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on the domain and website industry, or jobs-to-be-done for starting a business
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and driving business growth
- Strong understanding of the fine differences that make a partnership successful or a failure
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
What the job involves
- The Director of Business Development will develop and implement strategic partnerships to improve revenue growth, expand market share, and build strategic on-ramps for the business
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, including market analysis, partnership development, and revenue growth
- Mentor and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives, including partner engagement
- Establish key performance indicators to measure success, analyze performance data, and make informed decisions to optimize business development efforts
- Manage the business development budget effectively, allocating resources to improve return on investment
