Role
Who you are
- 4–6 years of hands on ecommerce experience, ideally in fast scaling D2C subscription brands
- Deep, practical experience on Shopify Plus you’ve owned storefronts end to end and know how to push the platform
- Proven track record of meaningfully improving conversion rate, AOV, and checkout performance
- Strong understanding of subscription UX, billing logic, churn levers, and post-purchase optimisation
- Data-native operator: confident using GA4, Shopify Analytics, heatmaps, experimentation tools and translating insights into action
- Comfortable building pages, running tests, and solving problems yourself, not just briefing others
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with high autonomy and high expectations
Desirable
- Experience working with subscription management tools (Recharge, Skio, Loop, Smartrr, Stay Ai, etc.)
- Strong background in CRO frameworks, funnel experimentation and UX heuristics
- Experience managing small teams of designers, developers or CRO specialists
- Exposure to merchandising strategy, PDP storytelling or direct-response landing pages
- Comfort with site speed optimisation and technical performance diagnostics
- Experience partnering closely with retention, product or growth to build multi-channel subscriber journeys
- Past success in early-stage or high-growth environments where shipping fast beats shipping perfect
What the job involves
- Own the Entire Ecommerce Storefront
- Take full control of Shopify Plus- every flow, every conversion lever
- Design, test and optimise the full funnel: homepage → PDP → cart → checkout → post-purchase
- Run continuous experimentation across UX, pricing, incentives, bundles and merchandising
- Spot and resolve technical issues fast; maintain a healthy, high-performing storefront
- Lead Subscription Growth & Reduce Churn
- Own and optimise the subscriber journey from acquisition to retention
- Improve subscription UX across management flows, pausing, swapping, reactivation and churn deflection
- Run experiments on pricing, bundles, incentives, and plan structures to lift LTV
- Partner with Retention & Lifecycle teams on upsells, win-backs, loyalty moments and habit-building comms
- Constant CRO & Experimentation
- Run structured A/B tests across key touchpoints with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes
- Use behavioural data, heatmaps and session recordings to uncover friction points and conversion drop-offs
- Turn insights into fast, iterative shipping across design, UX, performance and content
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a small ecommerce team, setting high standards and fast pace
- Work hand-in-hand with Marketing on landing pages, campaigns and DR funnels
- Partner with Product on new feature launches, subscriber journeys and merchandising strategy
- Collaborate with CX to remove friction points and elevate the end-to-end customer experience
- Partner with Analytics to ensure tracking is clean, reporting is accurate, and data becomes action

Since its founding, Simmer serves hundreds of people weekly, including reality TV stars and Premier League football winners. Alongside this, it frequently donates food to local homeless charities, furthering its mission of giving people access to a healthy, happy life.
