Who you are

Currently working in a SaaS,Tech sales or customer support role, selling product-based solutions or services
Demonstrating a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding challenging individual targets and key performance metrics
Currently working or previously worked in a high performing, dynamic organisation with exceptional customer service standards
Ideally demonstrating intermediate competency in the use of Salesforce or a similar CRM system
Proven experience in virtual based inbound and outbound calls
Great interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
Proven ability to close sales, while working as part of a team

What the job involves

As the Account Executive - Ecosystems, you will be responsible for closing new business deals: through both inbound channels and outbound sales motions
This role will focus on MessageMedia’s key integration partners like HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite and others
You will work closely with the broader Sales team to ensure successful leads to customer conversion
Your overall objective as part of this high energy team is to achieve monthly and yearly sales targets and provide an exceptional experience to our customers and a sales process that maximizes efficiency and growth
Sell the MessageMedia key product offerings to perspective clients. Focus on our key strategic partnership and ecosystem integrations
Quickly respond, engage with and qualify all inbound leads, inquiries and free trials through a number of communication mediums
Receive inbound customer enquiries through our websites, email, LiveChat or referrals
Quickly contact prospective customers to qualify their needs and ‘solution sell’ the MessageMedia ecosystems/integration product and if necessary set up a Trial Account
Follow-up with prospects to convert them to a MessageMedia client
Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions; and
Update customer application details in the CRM system
Receive high value customer enquiries through our Sales Development Representatives and work with the customer to present our solution to close new business opportunities
Develop territory plan for select partner integrations and prospect new business opportunities through several different channels. Including but not limited to: phone calls, email, linkedin, vidyard
Act as a subject matter expert in MessageMedia products, in particular our integrations and focused ecosystem partners
Ability to present and demo our key ecosystem integrations to show value of MessageMedia platform to new perspective customers

Our take

Over the course of well over a decade, Sinch has grown into an international service helping enterprise companies communicate with their customers over text, in-app video/voice messages, and other mobile channels. Used by Google, Tinder, Uber, and PayPal, among other marquee enterprise companies, most customers will have crossed paths with Sinch.

The company’s rise is due in part to an increased marketing focus on cultivating a highly personalised relationship between customer and brand. In part, too, it’s down to the surge in custom Sinch saw over recent years when more familiar channels of customer/brand communication went down. That seems to have settled now, but personalized messages, over text specifically, continues to play well among younger consumers.

It's going to prove a tough market to navigate going forward, though. Equally well-established competitors like Twilio, 8x8, and Link Mobility Group all have similar offerings. Sinch's foray into conversational AI will help them keep pace, as will their steady march of acquisitions, fundraising to fuel scaling efforts and partnerships with the likes of Salesforce.
