Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, preferably in fintech or B2B SaaS
- Proven track record of driving user growth and improving key metrics (CAC, LTV, retention, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and A/B testing
- Proficiency in growth marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Optimizely)
- Experience with customer acquisition channels (SEO, SEM, content marketing, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of funnel optimization and conversion rate optimization techniques
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA a plus
- High level of organization and comfort with data-driven decision making
- Ability to handle nebulous problems and shifting priorities with flexibility and agility
- Excited by the prospect of life- and career-changing work in a startup environment
- High EQ, trustworthy, and calm under pressure
- Interest in financial systems, markets, technology, and banking
What the job involves
- As a Growth Marketing Manager at ModernFi, you will work directly with the founding team to develop and execute data-driven growth strategies that drive user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue
- You will play a crucial role in scaling our user base and optimizing our marketing funnel, working across teams to create and implement growth experiments that maximize our key performance indicators
- Your efforts will help banks and credit unions better serve their communities, contributing to the financial health of millions of Americans
- Develop and implement data-driven growth strategies aligned with ModernFi's business goals
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize user acquisition and retention
- Lead customer acquisition efforts across various channels (paid, organic, referral, etc.)
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to implement growth initiatives
- Analyze user behavior data to identify growth opportunities and optimize the user journey
- Create and optimize marketing funnels to improve conversion rates and reduce customer acquisition costs
- Implement and manage marketing automation systems to nurture leads and retain customers
- Monitor and report on key growth metrics, providing actionable insights to inform strategy
- Stay up-to-date with the latest growth marketing trends and best practices
Our take
Rising interest rates and the recent collapse of prominent banks have triggered a mass exodus of deposits from smaller institutions. This "deposit runoff" has left community and regional banks scrambling to retain funds, impacting their growth and stability.
ModernFi offers an end-to-end deposit management platform to address this very issue. Its "deposit network" connects smaller banks with high-value depositors, facilitating deposit sourcing, automated fund sweeping, and enhanced security for depositors. This network acts as a lifeline for smaller banks, helping them attract and retain crucial funding.
2024 investment will fuel the company's expansion in several areas, with the ultimate goal of becoming a one-stop shop for bank CFOs, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions for managing the entire deposit lifecycle. With strong market demand and a clear roadmap for expansion, especially off the back of the Silicon Valley Bank collapse, ModernFi appears well-positioned to navigate the shifting landscape of banking and become a vital resource for community and regional banks in the years to come.
