- Strong front-end experience with React
- Experience with Typescript
- Experience with the back-end stacks (or willingness to learn it)

- Experience working in remote environments will be a plus
What the job involves
- As an engineer in the Merchant Tools team, you will be creating and maintaining tools used by merchandisers of global e-commerce brands to manage their product discovery experience
- You will deliver features for the Collections product and find new creative ways of making it easier to use to improve the product discovery experience of shoppers worldwide
- You will also improve the experience of first-time users, making it easier and faster to onboard new merchandisers onto the Constructor platform
Our take
Online shopping has vastly increased the reach of stores and put a wealth of products at consumer’s fingertips. However, tedious searches are one cause for online carts to be abandoned before purchase. Constructor.io, founded in 2015, builds technology to counter the search element behind these unfinished purchases, with a powerful product discovery platform for eCommerce businesses.
eCommerce searching is generally poor, lagging behind the power of large search engines, in part due to low system intelligence. Constructor.io’s search employs AI, machine learning and natural language processing to return relevant results for search and browse functions, as well as for recommendations and autosuggest. A host of other novel search technologies have launched recently, but Constructor remains the leader in the space, with significant backing and high levels of growth.
Constructor.io already serves big-name customers including Sephora and Walmart’s Bonobos. It has raised impressive funding that it intends to use to expand operations and business reach.
