Who you are
- Passion for design and figuring out best-in-class solutions to UX, UI, and interaction challenges
- A portfolio of excellent product designs delivered within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think through complex interaction design
- Ability to express ideas through visuals and prototyping (Linear uses Figma)
- Experience with design systems, programming, and using technical tools like (Git, VSCode, Origami, FramerX)
- Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills
What the job involves
- As a Principal Product Designer, you'll stretch your creativity to define product strategy for various team and independent projects
- We expect a broad set of design skills and the ability to create high-quality designs, interactions, and prototypes
- We strongly believe that attention to detail and a design-centric approach are at the core of creating exceptional user experiences, and designers at Linear are at the forefront of making that vision a reality
- Contribute to overall strategy and decision-making about product direction
- Lead end-to-end design projects, participate in weekly design critiques, and work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality implementation
- Come up with features and improvements that ship quickly and with high-quality
- Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features
- Help with hiring and establishing a design culture within the company
- Help establish early processes that continue to advocate our attention to detail and design-centric approach

In addition, Linear is synchronised in real-time and includes a range of integrations with platforms such as GitHub and Sentry, all of which has made it a top choice for high-performance teams.
Since its founding in 2019, Linear has raised substantial funds and garnered good interest, from clients including Cash App and loom. The company has put the funds towards expanding its team and making further investments in product development.
