Role
Who you are
- This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, excels in pipeline generation, and wants to build a high-impact BD team from the ground up
- We’re a high-performing team looking for passionate, execution-focused, owners to help us automate security and compliance for modern companies and become the European compliance automation leader
- You have 2-3 years in B2B SaaS, VC-backed startups, or investment banking, with a proven track record in outbound sales. Sales experience in the SaaS space is a plus
- You excel under pressure, navigating fast-paced decision-making and delivering results
- You’re passionate about building and leading a business development team.
- You can both execute and build, balancing the tactical work of outbound sales with the long-term vision of scaling the BD function
- You take full ownership of your pipeline and BD strategy, going above and beyond to drive results
- You are empathetic and curious - you love learning about customers and their problems
- You are open to feedback and can quickly learn and adapt.
- You are customer-focused and feel confident leading live conversations (phone, video, face-to-face).
- You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and can track performance through KPIs.
- You’re comfortable with working in a startup where priorities may shift quickly based on customer and market feedback.
- You are fluent in both English and German (C2 level).

What the job involves
- Your main responsibility is to build our BD team and generate demand—owning your pipeline, strategizing, and executing to ensure Secfix’s message resonates with the right companies, at the right time.
- Hire, lead and mentor a high-performing BDR team that can scale to Series A+.
- Develop structured onboarding and training programs for new hires.
- Research and identify target companies and leads matching our ideal customer profile.
- Source and qualify inbound and outbound leads by applying qualification frameworks such as PACTT.
- Set up discovery meetings with the sales team.
- Continuously analyze and improve outbound strategies using data-driven insights.
- Feedback prospect learnings to the Secfix product team to help refine our go-to-market positioning and playbook.

Our take
As regulations around data protection grow in numbers and force, compliance has never been more essential for business, both for legal reasons and to build customer confidence. However, few small and medium businesses have the in-house resources needed to set up their IT security at the same level as larger companies. SecFix exists to change this, connecting with a company's tech stack to automate all processes around attaining ISO 27001 and GDPR certification.
SecFix solves two problems at once: reducing the time and cost of auditing processes and systems for certification by up to 30%, while at the same time building a company's resistance to cybercriminals and exposure to punitive fines and lost customer loyalty. It has developed a large customer base of fast-growing companies including Kertos, Satcom, and Zinc.
The company has recently raised a significant amount of investment in an oversubscribed seed funding round. It is using this capital to further develop its platform and hire additional talent. SecFix is also planning to expand into additional European markets and is well-poised to become a significant company in the security compliance space.
