Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in product management for hardware, software, or platforms in the edge computing, IoT, or cloud infrastructure space
- A proven track record of successfully launching and managing B2B technical products from concept to market
- Strong technical understanding of edge computing architectures, including hardware (servers, storage, networking), software (containerization, virtualization, control plane as part of a cloud infrastructure), and connectivity
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholder needs
Desirable
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including training, inference, and MLOps
- Prior experience in the energy sector or with sustainable technology
- Hands-on experience with hardware design and manufacturing processes
- Experience with a cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their edge/distributed cloud products, or a deep understanding of cloud-native principles
What the job involves
- As a Product Manager, Edge Computing, you'll be at the forefront of this mission, leading the Cloud product strategy leveraging our Crusoe Spark™ modular AI data centers
- You'll work cross-functionally to define the product roadmap, from conception to launch, from hardware configurations to software stack, for our edge computing solutions
- Your work will directly enable real-time, low-latency AI applications in industries like public sector, manufacturing, autonomous vehicles, and smart cities, all while using various energy sources

- Define and execute the product vision and strategy for our Edge Computing offerings, based on Crusoe Spark™
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify new opportunities and validate product concepts
- Translate product strategy into a detailed roadmap, user stories, and feature requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, in-house digital infrastructure and manufacturing, business operations, and go-to-market teams to ensure successful product development and
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, for hardware and software solutions at the edge
- Track and analyze key product metrics to inform decisions and measure the success of our products
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for Crusoe's Edge Computing products, including presenting to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Our take
Crusoe is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing the digital age: the enormous energy demand of data centres and AI infrastructure. As AI models grow more powerful, they require immense computing power (and therefor electricity) to train and operate. This surge in energy use has put some pressure on power grids, driven up costs, and raised environmental concerns. Crusoe is on a mission to make this process more sustainable by finding smarter, cleaner, and more efficient ways to power the data centres that drive modern computing.
The company started out by putting wasted energy to work. Originally known as Crusoe Energy, it captured natural gas that would otherwise be burned off ("flared") at remote oil sites and used it to power modular data centres. Today, Crusoe has evolved into a major player in AI infrastructure, designing and operating large-scale data centres near renewable or stranded energy sources. It's now one of a handful of "neocloud" companies (next-generation cloud providers focused on flexible, efficient computing for AI workloads). And its facilities are helping tech giants like OpenAI handle the massive computing requirements of training advanced AI models.
Recently, Crusoe has attracted some huge investor attention, tripling its valuation to over $10B and raising $1.4B in its latest funding round. It's building OpenAI's first major US data centre campus and even experimenting with bold new frontiers. In partnership with Starcloud, Crusoe plans to deploy the world's first space-based cloud computing infrastructure, powered by solar energy and orbiting the Earth by 2027. If successful, this could redefine how and where computing happens, opening up a cleaner, virtually limitless source of energy for AI's next generation.
