Senior Accountant, Stellar Health

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accrual accounting
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP (NetSuite strongly preferred)
• Experience with Ramp or similar expense management tools and expense coding/classification
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Clear communicator across finance and non-finance audiences

• Our Finance team is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our accounting needs during a period of rapid growth
• Reporting to our Director of Accounting, this person will split their time across two critical functions: General Accounting and our Financial Operations (FinOps) team, which manages our provider incentive payment program
• This is a highly visible, cross-functional role with real ownership you'll help keep our books clean while also playing a key part in one of our most operationally complex and impactful workflows

• General Accounting (50%):
• Own key month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and cash reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain internal controls around disbursements, approval workflows, and documentation
• Support annual audits by preparing reconciliations and responding to auditor requests
• Identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes as the business scales
• Financial Operations – Provider Incentive Payments (50%):
• Support the full-cycle monthly provider incentive payment process, from calculation through disbursement
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and reconciliations for customers and medical groups
• Serve as a go-to resource for internal stakeholders, answering questions and providing guidance on payment-related inquiries
• Help build and maintain payment documentation including schedules, supporting calculations, and audit trails
• Drive automation and standardization across the payment workflow
