- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in end-to-end software product design, preferably for a B2B SaaS or cybersecurity technology product.
Desirable
- Excels at visual design and UI craft, and can push the product experience to a polished and refined level.
- Strong experience in designing product UI visualizations and reporting.
- Experience in conducting moderated and unmoderated user experience research.
- Good technical intuition, and enjoys understanding how a technical product works and can collaborate deeply with engineering.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, can articulate and present design ideas to different teams and stakeholders.
- Adopt new tools quickly, including AI-assisted design and code tools to improve velocity.
- A desire to be an early member of a fast-moving AI security startup where your work will be highly visible.
What the job involves
- You will own product design execution end-to-end, translating stakeholder requirements into flows and working closely with Engineering through to implementation.
- You will drive the visual design of user interaction by developing a style guide or system.
- You will Create aesthetically pleasing product UI and reporting that delights our customers.
- You will conduct moderated and unmoderated research, as well as perform usability testing as our product becomes more intricate and workflow-driven.
- You will adopt new tools quickly, including AI-assisted design and code tools to elevate our Product team’s UI craft and delivery speed.
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Research and Development teams to align design work with customer and business goals.

Mindgard is a deep tech spin-out from Lancaster University, and the team comprises of world-leading scientists and engineers in cyber security & AI systems. It's already being used by key intelligence organisations globally, and the company successfully raised funding in 2024.
