Who you are
- 2+ years of experience in people operations, HR coordination, onboarding, or employee experience

What the job involves
- We’re hiring a People Operations Coordinator to lead and continuously improve the onboarding experience at Peregrine
- You’ll be the first point of contact for new hires — making sure they feel welcomed, prepared, and supported from day one
- This is a high-impact role where you'll own onboarding from offer acceptance to full ramp-up, helping new hires navigate their first days while managing the behind-the-scenes coordination that makes everything run smoothly
- From orchestrating Day 1 logistics and running orientation sessions to working closely with hiring managers and improving onboarding processes, you’ll be at the heart of how we grow our team thoughtfully and intentionally

- Own the onboarding lifecycle by managing the process from offer acceptance through the employee’s first few weeks, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
- Coordinate logistics including scheduling orientation sessions, setting up new hire systems and access, tracking onboarding checklists, and ordering/shipping equipment
- Plan new hire sessions that are engaging and informative, both virtually and in-person, and collaborate with team leads to deliver content that reflects our values and mission
- Partner with hiring managers to tailor onboarding plans that help new hires feel supported, connected, and productive as they ramp into their roles
- Track and improve the onboarding experience by gathering feedback, analyzing trends, and proposing improvements that help us scale thoughtfully
- Support broader People Ops initiatives such as team events, engagement surveys, off-boarding coordination, and other cross-functional programs as needed
Our take
The digitisation of emergency response organisations, data and incident reporting is speeding up, but this presents a problem if this information is not digestible. Emergency responders must be able to quickly translate and understand information as it comes in, or risk this faster flow of data being made redundant.
Peregrine is a data integration platform that improves emergency responses by making data more accessible, understandable and actionable. The platform can be used for public safety at different scales, such as building, city or region-wide. Its machine learning capabilities are also able to collate raw surveillance data, linking people, places and events to track targets or potential criminal activity.
With a founding team that boasts experience in both security and environmental risk analysis, Peregrine shows the potential to bridge the gap between tech and law enforcement. And funding is being channelled into accelerating the company's growth as it looks to double its employee headcount in the near future.
