Role
Who you are
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field a plus
- 6+ months of full-stack web development experience, including internships and co-op programs
- Prior experience using Ruby on Rails and React a plus
- Understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Knowledge of design patterns used for developing frontend applications
- Experience in:
- Designing and building APIs
- Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
- Building applications using React and Redux or a similar frontend framework
- Developing web applications that work across multiple devices and screen sizes: Understanding of the web technology stack (HTTP, cookies, asset loading/caching, etc) and modern web technologies (ES6, HTML5, Progressive Web Apps, etc)
What the job involves
- We are currently hiring a Software Engineer for our Framework team at Snapsheet
- This team is focused on explosive growth with both current and future solutions while maintaining a unified platform approach
- They build foundational solutions to support business needs, including claims operations and vendor integrations
- Their work includes developing frameworks and libraries that enhance the platform, such as:
- Front-end libraries
- API standardization Gem
- Low-code/no-code configurations (e.g., custom fields)
- Self-service UI customization for clients
- While collaborating closely with other teams, the Framework Team ensures standardized UI experiences across the platform, driving consistency and scalability
- Expanding the platform’s offerings for providers
- Continuous improvements to our tech stack, processes, and infrastructure
- Partnering with our other engineering teams to enhance configurability within our platform
- Collaborating with other engineers, product management and design to identify and solve complex problems
- Contributing to technical design processes and provide improvement suggestions and feedback
- Playing an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology
- Working in an agile environment and participating in weekly stand ups, retrospectives, etc
- Proactively re-evaluate system performance, flag issues, and suggest alternatives

Snapsheet delivers end-to-end and modular cloud SaaS solutions for claims management, helping to digitize and automate the space. Its vast capabilities, including an AI-powered damage estimation tool, make claims processes easier to manage and less risk-prone for clients and providers alike.
In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in insurtech, which has certainly helped Snapsheet capture clients and support as it expands. As the sector continues to reassess procedures across the board, a further shift towards automation seems likely, driving yet more clients towards the kind of offerings that the company provides.
Certainly, Snapsheet has positioned itself well in the market, remaining a key player as the sector takes shape. On top of a successful 2022 - in which the company reported 63% year-over-year growth, and 54 new & expanded customer relationships - its focus remains on providing solutions that improve the customer and adjuster experience, in order to keep delivering value and keep itself at the front of market development.
