Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of product design experience, including SaaS or complex platform environments
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing product design teams
- A proven track record of shipping high-quality, user-centered products at scale
- Deep expertise in user research, interaction design, and systems thinking
- Experience designing for enterprise users with complex, high-stakes workflows
- Demonstrated ability to connect design strategy to business and customer outcomes
- A coaching mindset, able to build trust, grow talent, and lead through ambiguity
- Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, Miro, etc.)
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles
- A growth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI
Desirable
- Experience designing AI-driven or data-intensive products
- Familiarity with legal, enterprise, or regulated industry products
- Experience contributing to or evolving platform-level design systems in multi-product environments
What the job involves
- We're seeking a Product Design Manager to lead design across our Enterprise segment
- This is a rare opportunity to shape the design direction of a category-defining product at the forefront of AI and legal technology
- Our Enterprise offerings cover Vincent, Clio's AI-powered legal intelligence platform, and Operate, our enterprise-grade practice and matter management platform
- This is a player-coach role
- You'll lead a talented team of product designers based in London, working closely with Product and Engineering to deliver intelligent, human-centered experiences that meet the sophisticated needs of enterprise legal professionals
- You’ll also roll up your sleeves and dive into design yourself, as part of a broader entrepreneurial cross-functional team
- As part of the design management team, you'll be a key player in advancing design maturity across Vincent as the product scales globally
- Define and drive the experience strategy for Vincent, ensuring design decisions reflect the complex workflows and high standards of enterprise legal users
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of product designers, fostering a culture of curiosity, autonomy, collaboration, and continuous growth
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, and Data Science to shape the product roadmap and deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences
- Champion user-centered design by embedding research and data-informed practices into the product development process
- Communicate design rationale, insights, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
- Leverage AI capabilities thoughtfully to create intelligent, adaptive experiences that serve enterprise legal professionals
- Hire and develop exceptional design talent through feedback, coaching, and performance development
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet delivery goals and drive long-term strategic impact

Modern law firms increasingly manage their work digitally but the lack of a specialized remote solution means that workflows have become fragmented. This leads to legal practice managers having to juggle multiple software solutions across various devices.
Clio provides a legal practice management platform designed for law firms, allowing users to manage billing for legal aid cases, access and manage documents and store files across multiple devices. Whilst other startups are operating in this niche, Clio has uniquely focussed on synchronisation across remote devices and on a wide range of integrations, allowing the user to access information from other industry standard software such as Xero and Klyant from within a single interface.
Clio has raised significant funding and benefited from the COVID-era shift toward cloud technologies. More recently, the company has experienced rapid growth following the integration of AI into its platform in 2023. Alongside this, it surpassed $200M in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in mid-2024 and has since grown to an impressive $500M ARR. The company was valued at $5B following a $500M funding round in 2025, with the investment supporting further AI development and platform expansion.
