Instead, it is an open participation system where any searcher or mining pool can join. This is considered to be more beneficial to the network, rather than a few private entities dominating, because it still allows for competition.
The company is seeing active progression, having raised $60 million for its Suave, a new vision for a kind of blockchain that could transform the process by which chain-operators earn value across different networks. With this, the company is becoming a genuinely exciting disrupter to an ever-changing industry. However, mid-2023 has seen major resignations in Flashbots leadership team following its substantial funding, down to the company's compliance with US Treasury sanctions concerning censorship and tighter regulations in the Ethereum industry. These changes were followed by a strategic hiring push but nevertheless, the future direction of the company remains a considerable unknown.
