Who you are
- You specifically have experience in B2B spaces, crafting compelling narratives that shape the user journey
- You’re an accomplished content design leader with experience leading teams to ship world-class consumer products
- You’re a trusted partner, building effective relationships with your peers across the business
- You’re comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity — and can successfully lead groups in this environment
- You have an eye for quality, and know how to support designers and teams to deliver it

What the job involves
- You’ll be leading a group of talented content designers, working across the cross-functional teams that make up Product Discovery in onboarding — a squad that acts as the ‘Window to Wise’ and shaping people’s first experiences and interactions with us
- Collaborating with your product design, product management and engineering partners to lead the teams, set the vision and strategy, and coach teams to deliver it
- Working on the exciting growth area of our Business product, specifically the discovery journey, and setting the direction for upcoming work
- Planning and prioritising the work and hiring and onboarding new designers as needed
- Working with design leaders from other squads to build a single, seamless experience for customers
- Using your design leadership skills to up-level quality, maturity and alignment across the onboarding squad
- Support and grow a talented design team
- Guide teams to deliver impact and ship work you’re proud of
- Be hands on, leading through the work and setting the bar
- Elevate product and design quality — you define what good looks like in the squad, then help them deliver it
- Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money

Our take
Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.
Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. Its attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.
While the market is crowded with new entrants (think Revolut and Monzo) and traditional banks trying to catch up, Wise is still staying one step ahead having recently opened a new hub in India and new payment features as well as reporting a rise in key metrics on higher volume and customer growth. This continued growth positions the company well for continued success in the future.
