Who you are
- Fluency in English is required
- Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or equivalent
- 4-8 years of work experience in banking, treasury and/or investment management, ideally with a focus on cash and working capital management , liquidity , asset & liability management, forex exchange impacts
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting
- Lead scenario planning exercises to forecast various economic, market, and regulatory changes, developing proactive strategies for the company to maintain financial resilience under different future conditions
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments
- Strong adaptability in dynamic, unstructured, and fast-changing environments, with the ability to quickly assess trends and make informed decisions that align with organizational objectives
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Experience with ERP systems and finance systems (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday), and affinity for automation and Artificial Intelligence
What the job involves
- We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter Treasury Manager in the Finance department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics
- In this role, you will not only be actively involved in the day-to-day asset sourcing, analysis, settlement, and ongoing monitoring and reporting processes, but you will also play a key role in building and developing the treasury function from the ground up
- This will include establishing new processes, policies, and strategies that will ensure optimal cash flow management and risk mitigation as we scale
- Additionally, you will be entrusted with the management of our securitized assets and will be the primary point of contact for external investors and stakeholders
- Manage daily cash flow, ensuring liquidity and efficient use of funds
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize cash management processes and working capital utilization, enhancing overall financial efficiency
- Centralizing of payments and supporting transformation from a localized to a centralized approach for treasury
- Managing both factoring and reverse factoring processes to optimize working capital and improve cash flow
- Overseeing the cash pool and managing the integration of European Surface Transport into the cash pool system
- Overseeing short-term and long-term financing activities, including debt management and funding strategies, to meet both operational and strategic requirements
- Monitoring and managing banking relationships and negotiating fees, terms, and services
- Conducting detailed cash flow forecasting and performing scenario analysis to support accurate budgeting and financial planning
- Collaborating with internal teams to analyze financial risks and implement hedging strategies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to treasury functions
- Lead the coordination of the implementation and integration of a treasury management software system, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure alignment with business needs
- Prepare and deliver in-depth reports on cash positions, liquidity ratios, and financial risks, providing actionable insights to senior management for decision-making

Freight forwarding — the process of organising how and where items will be shipped around the world, and specifically the technology that underpins that work — continues to be a huge area of the logistics market.
Sennder, a digital freight forwarder focused on transporting cargo around Europe, is working towards becoming one of the biggest players in the European market. Sennder's current strategy, following major funding, is to expand rapidly, building upon existing expansions including Cars&Cargo, Uber Freight Europe and Everoad.
Although it is one of the most well-funded of the freight forwarders, Sennder will face direct competition in Europe from the likes of Zencargo, as well as international pressure from international giants such as the US' Flexport. To keep them ahead in the market, Sennder must ensure it keeps on top of developing tech such as fleet management systems and the use of the blockchain to manage automation. As well as this, they must battle with an increasingly climate-conscious consumer base putting growing pressure on the logistics industry to cut down its environmental costs. Ensuring it keeps a balance between performance and innovation will be crucial to Sennder's success going forward.
