Role
Who you are
- BS degree in accounting or finance required
- 3 or more years of experience
- CPA preferred
- Must possess knowledge of GAAP
- Mix of public and private accounting preferred but not required
- Familiarity working in a SOX environment
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience in the heavy use of Pivot Tables, Sumifs, and X/V/HLOOKUP
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proactive and deadline oriented
- Excellent communication skills to all levels
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration in a team-oriented environment is a crucial component for this role
- Able to work independently
- Has a roll up your sleeve attitude
- Plus - PPE Experience or understanding full PPE cycle
- Plus - System implementation preferred
- Plus - Net Suite experience & Experience researching GAAP guidance preferred
What the job involves
- Our Accounting/Finance team is seeking a Senior Accountant
- This role will report to an Accounting Manager of our Accounting & Finance Team
- The role will concentrate on day-to-day General Ledger (GL) accounting
- The role will also be responsible for preparation balance sheet accounts reconciliation and income statement flux analysis, managing payment status for state and local taxes, and working on complex accounting projects within an international multicurrency environment
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing financial transactions and records
- Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Maintain the general ledger by reviewing trial balance and preparing reconciling entries
- Participate in general ledger accounting, including month end close, prepaids, expense accruals, flux analysis and reporting
- Assist with the identification and improvement of controls and processes
- Summarize financial status by collecting information
- Assist in the preparation of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
- Assist with external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; prepare information for auditors
- Provide support in complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with management
- Collaborate with internal and external departments to support company objectives and key results (OKRs)
- Ad hoc responsibilities and reports as needed
- 5 days a week in office at our El Segundo, California HQ
