Who you are
- Has 5-8 years of experience in B2B lifecycle marketing, focusing on large businesses
- Drives the B2B Enterprise customer engagement/retention strategy for Grammarly’s managed customers
- Owns the daily execution of email, in-app, and push campaigns, including building, scheduling, and testing
- Can use data insights to create high impact programs, with a bias for experimentation
- Collaborates cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams to unlock new opportunities for large-scale efficiency and productivity
- Can prioritize, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and execute ruthlessly; demonstrates both short-term and long-term thinking
- Collaborates concisely and communicates results and strategic plans with leaders and team members
- Can pull and analyze data and report on campaigns and experiments

What the job involves
- To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our lifecycle team
- This role will play a significant role in growing the business by enabling key campaigns and programs, driving process improvement, improving how we understand performance data, and empowering our customer engagement lifecycle strategy from an early stage
- You’ll also lead, execute, and optimize email and in-product marketing programs supporting Grammarly’s Lifecycle Marketing strategies
- As a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be a key part of building foundational programs to help us impact growing relationships with existing customers through deepening and growing product affinity and usage
- Contribute to the strategy and initiatives to deliver impact to key outcomes
- Own the day-to-day execution of email, in-app and push campaigns including building, scheduling, and testing
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and campaigns between marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams
- Work across various channels, stakeholders, and projects to build models, analyze data, advise channel managers, and set up experiments
- Curate marketing processes and reporting
- Establish an operational center of excellence within Lifecycle and be a thought leader

Grammarly was originally launched as a subscription service for students, although the platform has moved into the mainstream in the last decade. It went freemium in 2015 and now works across more than 500,000 applications and websites, including email clients, enterprise software, and word processors. Paid tiers give users more tools beyond grammar and spelling checks, including things like word choice, sentence rewrites, tone adjustments, fluency, and formality level.
The company has been profitable since the beginning and now has a valuation of more than $13 billion, placing it among the 10 most valuable startups in the US. The AI writing assistant space is heating up, and Grammarly is hoping to defend its position against offerings including Scalenut, Ginger and Microsoft's Editor by the release of its SDK, making it far easier to integrate Grammarly into other applications. So far, this has been used in over 4,000 products and earned excellent ratings and increased user numbers of Grammarly's service.
