Who you are
- 2-4 years experience working in software sales as a SDR/BDR or Inside Sales
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills

What the job involves
- The ISV (Independent Software Vendor) team is investing heavily to take advantage of a rapidly expanding market to work with software vendors as they look to bring their solutions to market
- As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be part of a high-performance and most of all FUN culture team
- You will be instrumental in identifying and engaging with innovative SaaS companies and software vendors who can leverage the Mendix platform to build and scale their offerings
- This means you will be the first point of contact for prospects from our sophisticated demand generating activities (inbound) as well as responsible for your own outbound efforts
- You will work within our well-structured Sales Cycle to carry out initial qualification of ISV prospects
- You will learn how to navigate sophisticated sales processes and receive mentorship where needed while executing the following activities:
- Follow-up and qualifying Sales Leads
- Work closely with Account Managers and our Marketing team
- Conduct account/market planning and research
- Set-up outbound mailing & calling campaigns
- Represent Mendix at industry events
- Find the right decision makers and influencers within ISV accounts
- Set and conduct qualifying meetings with prospects
- Learn how to ask the right questions to find out if an opportunity is a Mendix-fit according to a set of criteria – which is pivotal in becoming a sales person
- Establish customer relationships with the "decision making unit" and other influencers
- Conduct regular handovers of opportunities with Account Managers
Our take
Mendix’s low-code software helps companies build their own custom software applications more quickly and efficiently.
It was founded in 2005 and didn't get much traction, only raising its first round of funding in 2011. Since then, the amount of software being built has exploded, giving Mendix a market to grow into.
Research company Gartner predicts low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity by 2024.
Siemens, one of the largest industrial companies, acquired Mendix in August 2018. Since then, Mendix has been developing new low-code applications, such as connectors for Amazon Web Services, staying in line with the increased interest in low-code tech.
