Who you are
- Experience in problem solving and implementing solutions in manufacturing environments with machines and people
- Strong communicator with the ability to present and persuade at various levels from operator to CEO
- A team player who enjoys helping others and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where rapid change is the norm
- A strong owner who is positive, energetic and a self starter who focuses on delivery to achieve results
- Strong Excel skills, detail oriented and technically minded with the ability to analyse any problem or situation
- SQL skills would be advantageous, or the motivation to learn to be able to self serve and work independently to access the data you will need
- Ideally have 2-4 years of experience, but we’re open to strong candidates at different stages of their career
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a fantastic Production Engineer to join our Operations Team at Skin + Me
- Work with Operations Management to support, maintain, and improve operational performance
- Improve operational equipment efficiency (OEE) from gathering & analysing data through to proposing & delivering improvements for example optimising equipment, changing layouts and building data dashboards
- Lead on problem solving to solution implementation e.g. identifying the root cause of machine breakdowns, optimising machine settings to reduce waste and improving processes to control quality levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain) to scale production processes and introduce new equipment or technologies into operations

Back in 2018, Skin + Me's founders identified a huge problem in the world of skincare: people don’t just struggle with their skin – they struggle with how they’re supposed to deal with it. With no truly effective solutions available, the company set out to build a pioneering online dermatology service that provides personalised skincare.
Skin + Me takes customers through a simple online medical consultation and work with dermatologists to prescribe a treatment, personalised to the individual. Part of the company's unique selling point is that its made-to-order formulation arrives through a subscription box each month and comes in a ‘Daily Doser’ – a specially designed bottle that dispenses the exact amount of the product needed for daily application.
Skin + Me is supported by a team of dermatologists, pharmacists and direct-to-consumer experts, which allows it to deliver across the business - from skin science to building the technology platform behind it. The company's growth plans include continual development of its services while ensuring it sticks to its ethos: providing desired, effective, and personalised skincare.
