Who you are
- 7+ years of product design experience
- Thrives in ambiguity and loves turning messy problems into intuitive solutions
- Has examples of making data and research-led decisions
- Writes sharp, jargon-free copy and translates complex concepts to users in a simple, accessible way

What the job involves
- Own and drive design direction across all product areas — from discovery to final implementation
- Simplify complexity with intuitive designs that work wherever in the world our users may live
- Spot opportunities for product improvements, design system evolution, and new features that enhance user experience, as well as smaller fast fixes
- Partner with engineers and data scientists to solve complex problems with clarity and craft
- Conduct user research to assets the validity of new and existing designs
- Champion quality, simplicity, and usability at scale
- Raise the bar for visual and interactive design across the company, considering motion, fluidity, and simplicity throughout
- Create visuals and assets for the Sling Money brand and product that can be used across the app, website, and marketing materials

For a long time, international payments were slow, expensive and pretty confusing. Now, more and more people are looking for faster and cheaper options, and with digital currencies known as stablecoins becoming a popular alternative. These are designed to keep a steady value, like matching the US dollar or the euro, while still moving fast.
Sling Money is a new app built for this changing world. Created by Avian Labs, Sling lets people send and receive digital dollars and euros directly from their phones. The app uses the Solana blockchain, allowing transfers to happen in seconds rather than days. Users can connect Sling to their bank accounts, hold money in the app, or withdraw it into local currency. And Sling even makes it possible to cash out instantly in 80 different countries, thanks to partnerships with local, regulated providers.
Recently, the company reached an important milestone, receiving approval from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority to operate as a crypto service provider. This adds to the licenses it already holds in the US and Europe, showing that regulators are really starting to trust the company. While the app is currently in closed beta in the UK, these approvals put Sling in a pretty strong position for growth.
