People & HR Operations Manager, Connectd

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our growing People team and help build the foundations that allow Connectd to scale well. This is a broad HR and People role, covering employee relations, people operations, policy, talent operations, international hiring support, EMI sharescheme administration and general HR infrastructure

Recruitment will be part of the role, but the focus will be on improving how we source, attract and manage talent: building effective hiring channels, managing recruitment partners, maintaining a strong PSL, improving candidate pipelines and helping hiring managers run structured, cost-effective processes

• Support the day-to-day running of the People function, ensuring our core HR processes are accurate, consistent and well managed
• This will include maintaining employee records, supporting contract changes, tracking key people processes, improving documentation and helping ensure our systems and workflows are clean, reliable and easy to use
• You will help us move from reactive HR administration to a more structured, scalable People operation
• Employee relations:
• Support disciplinary, grievance, performance and conduct processes in a fair, consistent and well-documented way
• You will help prepare meeting notes, letters, timelines, evidence packs and follow-up actions, while ensuring managers are supported and employees are treated respectfully
• You will not be expected to own complex ER cases alone from day one, but you should be comfortable working through sensitive issues with good judgement, confidentiality and attention to detail
• Policies and procedures:
• Help build, review and improve company policies, procedures and People documentation
• This will include ensuring policies are legally sound, commercially practical, and written in a way people can actually understand
• Key areas may include absence, performance, flexible working, expenses, probation, disciplinary, grievance, holidays, international working and manager guidance
• Talent operations and recruitment support
• Support cost-effective hiring in London and internationally by helping us improve our recruitment infrastructure
• This will include:
• Managing and reviewing our recruitment preferred supplier list
• Identifying cost-effective sourcing channels
• Supporting hiring managers with structured hiring processes
• Helping build talent pipelines for key roles
• Improving job descriptions and hiring workflows
• Tracking recruitment activity, spend and outcomes
• Supporting international hiring through platforms, partners and local market research
• This role is not measured on “filling roles” like a recruiter. It is about making sure Connectd has better routes to talent, stronger hiring processes and less reliance on expensive or reactive recruitment
• EMI shares and People projects:
• Support the administration of our EMI share scheme and other People projects
• This may include tracking eligibility, maintaining documentation, supporting communications, coordinating with legal or finance partners, and helping employees understand the process at a high level
• You will also support broader People projects as we continue to scale, including benefits, engagement, onboarding, compliance, international entities and employee experience improvements
• Manager and employee support:
• Act as a practical first point of contact for employees and managers on HR questions, policies, processes and people-related queries
• You should be confident, give clear guidance, know when to escalate, and help managers handle issues consistently
• What success looks like:
• Our HR processes are cleaner, faster and more consistent
• Managers receive better support on ER, policy and people processes
• Recruitment becomes more structured, cost-effective and less reactive
• We have stronger talent pipelines and better recruitment partner management
• Our policies and procedures are clearer and more scalable
• EMI and other People admin is well organised and properly tracked
