Who you are
- We are looking for an innovative natural leader who can build high-performing sales teams and processes to accelerate our revenue and growth
- Our commercial function is the lifeblood of our business and we’re looking for someone who can instil and champion a commercial mindset across our organisation, from our analytics department right through to our people team we want everyone to take on an ownership mentality
- Experience building and managing a high performing sales team selling to Enterprise clients within a start-up
- A track record of growing considerable revenue (>£10mil) in a fast-paced consulting / tech environment
- Experience crafting and winning complex proposals with Fortune 500 companies
- Understanding of data science and how analytics can be applied to solving business problems
- Previous experience leading / building out an internal B2B marketing function considered an asset
- Proven track record of delivering significant pitch projects across multiple markets and stakeholders
- A+ Collaborator, curious, passionate and energised by growth and a burning desire to grow personally
- Able to implement high attention to detail and consistent delivery of high-quality work throughout your team
- Expert level communication skills – both written and verbal – with an awareness of consulting approaches such as answer-first or the pyramid principal
- Evidence of analytical and data-driven abilities
- A strategic mindset, namely the ability to identify the key objectives and factors in a given situation and organize your work accordingly
- Goal orientated and strong organizational skills, able to continuously assess priorities

What the job involves
- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer
- In this role you will be leading our commercial and strategy team to drive QuantSpark’s revenue and growth strategy
- As our Commercial Director, you will own the entire sales process, from targeting prospective clients to closing complex enterprise deals
- Beyond that you will have a key stake in developing QuantSpark’s Commercial function and client services
- This will include a blend of strategy, sales, and marketing projects
- Show initiative and take on responsibility quickly
- Building a culture of accountability and urgency by transparently leveraging metrics and reporting to drive the right behaviour
- Driving revenue through new client acquisition, meeting or exceeding all sales targets and performance metrics
- Develop sales strategies and goals focused on acquiring consulting clients in our target verticals of Financial services, Private Equity, and Retail
- Developing a deep understanding of prospective partner businesses, understanding the key drivers that impact the partner’s performance in order to identify and design solutions that help achieve their business objectives
- Developing processes for capturing new business, and pricing strategies for our services that scale
- Lead, inspire, manage, and mentor broader team to maximise their individual potential and professional growth as well as ability to function effectively as a team
- Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team to strategically position the commercial function at the heart of growth conversation, developing scale up plans in accordance with our agreed and proposed projects
- Take ownership of our sales CRM tools ensuring they are kept up to date and reflect key information of current deal flow
- Create sales materials such as scripts and sales and ensure our client materials are kept up to date
- Mapping our sales systems and looking for looking for opportunities to improve the quality of our work and drive both growth and efficiency
- Build and lead a 360 degree sales and enablement function to facilitate QuantSpark as the market leader in advanced analytics and data science

Primarily, its work involves analysing large datasets and systems in order to understand customer behaviour and help clients make informed decisions for strategic planning in sales and marketing.
In recent years, big data has become central to the operation of businesses large and small, and this has led to great demand for data scientists fluent in sophisticated modelling and analysis. QuantSpark seeks to go a step further, providing a service which combines data science with commercial insight- effectively providing both services through one transaction. By doing this, QuantSpark hopes to offer clients a more meaningful insight into their data than a standard consultancy could.
