Who you are
- We would love a creative, dynamic and hard-working individual with an in depth understanding of the ever-changing social media industry and internet culture
- A strong passion for new & catalogue music, emerging artists & current popular culture is essential
- Experience with video editing and creating social content
- Able to work under strict deadlines with impeccable organizational skills
- Strong internet research skills are required; a familiarity with all video/social media platforms and a strong knowledge of how to best navigate them is necessary (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Reddit, etc.)
- Experience with analytics tools and platforms is preferable i.e., Crowdtangle, Trendpop and Tubular
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role at a social publisher or influencer (experience in audience development is also very desirable)
- Previous experience in user-generated content acquisition for a social agency or similar industry/field preferred
What the job involves
- Universal Music Group is looking for a Social Content Creator to join their social-first content studio and digital publishing team, Rebel Labs to work within the TikTok programming team
- This position will work closely with the Digital Marketing teams from the various Universal Music Group labels to support campaigns by sourcing and clearing top viral/trending user-generated content
- Additionally, you will be involved in creative ideation and content publishing across our network of TikTok accounts to millions of followers
- Sourcing, researching, and acquiring targeted UGC video content for priority releases and tracks
- Publishing content on our TikTok media brands and other associated socials
- Editing magnetic short form content and writing engaging social copy
- Utilizing multiple trend-seeking tools and discovery pages to locate the best content
- Seeking new and innovative ways to trial new formats and creative ideas on our accounts
- Tracking and optimizing our video content to improve results and grow audiences
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends, movements and relevant news
- Communicating where necessary to ensure editorial processes run as smoothly as possible
- Keeping key stakeholders updated on campaign progress and creating end of campaign wrap reports
