Role
Who you are
- 2+ years working as an engineer on frontend technology (React and JavaScript)
- Excellent understanding and experience of programming languages and paradigms (object oriented, functional)
- Knowledge of software testing practices and tools for maintaining code quality
- Integration experience via RESTful and GraphQL API’s (Shopify, BuilderIO etc...) for workflow and data
- Experience building quality, and highly scalable front end applications
- Excellent appreciation for UI/UX design
- Enthusiastic self-starter that will be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to quickly build and maintain authentic relationships and trust with individuals
Desirable
- Experience in Next.js
- Experience with CMS like Strapi
- Experience working with the eCommerce domain and mobile application architecture
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation, payment processing and customer engagement
- Experience with AWS Lambda
What the job involves
- Reporting to our Lead Frontend Engineer you’ll join a small but growing agile team of highly talented engineers working on building scalable solutions for our ecommerce platfrom
- You’ll be pivotal in keeping our customer experience world class when it comes to delivery and design
- Collaborate with team lead on the Petlab products to understand the context behind what you’re building
- Collaborating with tech lead and designing technical solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional needs
- Ensuring the platform is performant, secure, scalable, robust, reliable and high quality, well tested code in the critical areas
- Planning and evolving the technical architecture of the platform with the teams
- Championing and sharing best practices to improve the team and code over time

PetLabCo. develops science-backed supplements designed to address common health issues ind ogs. The company was inspired by co-founder and co-CEO Chris Masanto, whose search for treatments for his dog's arthritis sparked an interest in better pet nutrition. Since then, PetLabCo. has built a direct-to-consumer brands across the US, Canada, and the UK, offering clinically informed products that support areas such as joint mobility, dental health, and digestion.
The company has grown rapidly too, scaling to more than $200M in annual revenue while building the operational systems needed to support international growth, including its use of Oracle NetSuite to streamline financial and inventory management. The company has also secured investment to accelerate research and development and expand into brick-and-mortar retail.
