Research Engineer, Focus Entertainment

• As part of this new R&D team, we welcome recent PhD graduates wishing to put their recently completed theses into practice
• You are a recent PhD graduates who are eager to contribute to our team in Machine Learning or related field
• You have an experience in programming languages (C++, Python, …) and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, …)
• You have a list of relevant publications in Machine Learning conferences
• You have strong knowledge of Reinforcement Learning
• You have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Telecommuting: 2 days a week

Desirable

• As one of the first Research Engineers of the Focus Entertainment’s Data Team, you innovate in creating autonomous agents able to explore our games and take part in the QA processes
• Reporting to a more experienced Research Engineer of the Focus’ team, you demonstrate creativity and curiosity in using reinforcement and imitation learning methods in the gaming industry
• You develop AI-powered bots using reinforcement learning and imitation learning to identify bugs, assess game performance, imitate human players, and so on
• You push forward the state-of-the-art of gaming technology and contribute to the development of cutting-edge testing methodologies
• You collaborate across departments to develop and enhance tool and automation workflows
• You share your findings internally and externally through publications and conferences
