What the job involves

We're a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement. Our mission is to redefine fitness and prove that exercise can be fun and for everyone. We believe in a future where exercise is everywhere
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to own our AWS infrastructure
You’ll focus on DevOps work but stay hands-on in the codebase building and and architecting new features as part of our backend engineering team
When things go wrong, you’ll lead the detective effort to understand the root cause and fix underlying problems so they don’t reoccur in future
The current FitXR experience in VR is just the beginning - we’ll continue to disrupt fitness across new platforms and experiences and you’ll play a big role in enabling innovation
Spend around 70% of your time in DevOps and 30% in development
Take ownership of and evolve our AWS-hosted infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines - prioritising scalability, reliability and automation
Support and unblock backend teams by embedding deeply in development cycles
Build tooling and automation that improves developer experience and platform reliability
Champion pragmatic safety—implementing guardrails without stifling speed or creativity
