- You love complex problems. Parking is messy. Each location has a different set of challenges and rules. You thrive on untangling it all and designing interfaces that make it feel simple and obvious
- You think in flows, not just screens. You’re always looking at the bigger picture: how users move through a journey, where they get stuck, and how to smooth their path with thoughtful interaction design
- You’re a systems thinker. Dashboards are your playground. You know how to structure data visually, prioritize information, and create reusable components that make scaling easy
- You collaborate like a pro. You speak dev, work well with PMs, and get joy from user interviews. Feedback doesn’t scare you
- You have taste and humility. You bring beautiful design to life, but you’re not going to die on every hill. You’re willing to compromise in favor of what actually works for users
- You’re proactive, not passive. You don’t wait for perfect specs. You ask questions, propose solutions, and take initiative to push the work forward even when there’s ambiguity
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on web or mobile applications, ideally in real estate, B2B SaaS, or marketplace businesses
- Expertise in Figma you’re comfortable owning end-to-end design workflows, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates clean, user-centered design solutions
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other team members to ship high-impact features
- Comfort with user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate quickly
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain your design rationale clearly and advocate for the user
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment without a set playbook
What the job involves
- As our Product Designer, you’ll own the experience layer of how drivers, property owners, and parking managers interact with our platform from mobile apps to dashboards
- You’ll work across the full design lifecycle: from hearing customer accounts firsthand to wireframes to polished UI, shipping intuitive, accessible, and efficient designs that serve a wide range of users, including those who are not always tech-savvy
- You’ll be responsible for extending and evolving our existing design system. Your work will ensure visual and functional consistency across the entire product ecosystem, while solving real-world problems with speed and empathy
- Design user-friendly experiences for both mobile apps and web dashboards that help people find, manage, and monetize parking regardless of their tech savviness or age
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to translate real-world user needs into clean, effective design solutions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that balance user goals, technical constraints, and business objectives
- Run usability tests and gather feedback from diverse users including parking seekers and property owners to validate design choices and uncover blind spots
- Build and maintain a scalable design system to ensure visual and functional consistency across all interfaces, from driver apps to owner dashboards
- Simplify complex data and workflows like occupancy trends, permit management, and revenue reports into clear, digestible visuals
- Own the end-to-end design process from discovery to delivery, iterating quickly and adjusting based on real usage data and team feedback
- Review engineering PRs and implementations to ensure designs are built accurately and consistently. When things are off, you won’t just point it out - you’ll clearly communicate how to fix it
- You’ll shape real impact. Your work won’t sit in a Figma file, it will ship fast, be seen by users, and directly influence key product and business outcomes
- Contribute to and evolve a living design system. Rather than starting from scratch, you’ll work within a strong foundation and help scale a cohesive design language across the product
- Autonomy with support. You’ll have the freedom to lead design decisions in your area, while collaborating closely with experienced cross-functional partners
- A product-focused culture. Design isn’t an afterthought here. Your voice will matter at the table, from discovery to launch

Our take
The parking industry has long adhered to traditional practices, relying on attendants and disparate payment and management systems. However, AirGarage is changing the landscape by providing software and management services to parking lot and garage owners. With its all-encompassing approach spanning from signage installation to payment handling and even parking enforcement.
One of AirGarage's key innovations is its revenue-sharing model, offering property owners a favorable 70-30 split and full transparency on earnings. This approach addresses the longstanding issue of parking managers reaping their share of revenue, leading property owners with just a fraction of the income generated by their spaces. With over 200 locations across 30 states under its management, AirGarage has become a pivotal player in reshaping the parking industry.
In 2021 the company closed its Series A funding round. That capital injection has gone towards expanding its software and services, catering not only to personal vehicle parking but also accommodating food trucks and cloud kitchens in need of parking and storage solutions. The future looks promising for AirGarage as it continues to modernize and streamline an industry ripe for technological transformation.
