Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of proven experience in data engineering (data extraction, transformation, modelling, infrastructure)
- Familiarity with CICD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes and big data technologies (Clickhouse or distributed systems is a plus)
- Experience with data processing, modelling and warehousing technologies such as standard SQL, dbt and BigQuery (Clickhouse is a plus)
- Fluency in Python programming language and paradigms such as OOP, functional programming (low-level and/or strongly typed languages is a plus)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to vulgarize technical concepts and summarize findings in a concise way
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Data Engineer to lead the development and implementation of diverse data systems for both our back and front offices
- In this role, you will focus on designing, automating, and maintaining code and processes to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of the data flowing in our systems
- Your expertise will help us build confidence in our data and enhance its value across the organization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify data quality requirements and align data processes with business needs
- Design and implement both batch and streaming data pipelines for internal analytics back-office analytics and front-office data products
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure frictionless back-and-forth communication between analytical and front or back-office systems
- Create automated checks and alerts to provide stakeholders with both visibility into data quality and means to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues
