What the job involves
- This will be a part-time internship (10–20 hrs/week). As an Intern, Social Media, you support the social media team by creating compelling short-form content that brings the story of the trades to life across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- You work behind and in front of the camera to develop content that inspires, entertains, and educates while aligning with brand campaigns and community initiatives like Champion the Trades
- Our team is passionate, empathetic, hard working, and above all else focused on improving the lives of our service professionals (our Pros). Our success is their success
- Film and edit short-form video content using mobile-friendly tools (i.e. CapCut, Instagram/TikTok tools)
- Pitch and produce 1–2 engaging videos per week tied to trends, campaigns, or key brand messages
- Contribute to the content calendar and shape social strategy with storytelling, education, and entertainment
- Monitor and apply trending audio, formats, and viral concepts to fit our brand voice
- Track content performance and provide insights on what’s resonating
- Help manage community interactions including comments, direct messages, and live sessions
- Collaborate with industry influencers to produce co-branded video content
- Support @championthetrades channel growth through engaging and authentic storytelling
- Assist in campaign planning, customer spotlights, and brand events

Housecall Pro offers an all-in-one business management app for home-services professionals operating HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and landscaping businesses.
The resurgent home services market is expected to be worth well over $1 trillion by 2030. With the vast majority of businesses in the space either small or medium sized, there’s obvious value in backend software to take care of laborious but necessary admin in one place.
After five years as a Board Member, Michael Beaudoin became CEO in 2020 to help lead the company’s expansion. Considering that Beaudoin previously spent 13 years at the helm of highly successful home contractor marketplace HomeAdvisor, this seemed to be a shrewd move.
Indeed, the decision has been validated by the company’s 50% year over year growth since then, coupled with its major fundraising efforts and continued expansion within the US and Canada.
