Who you are

5+ years of experience in full stack development, with a demonstrated focus on building complex, scalable systems
Proficiency in backend programming languages and frameworks like Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails
Strong experience with database management and architecture (SQL, NoSQL)
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures

Desirable

Experience with IoT protocols and integration with hardware systems
Leadership or mentoring experience is highly desirable

What the job involves

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable full stack software systems
Integrate client facing services with IoT devices and hardware components
Ensure system robustness, security, and scalability, particularly in handling large data sets and complex calculations
Work closely with hardware and electronics engineers to provide cohesive and efficient system solutions
Guide and mentor junior backend developers, fostering a culture of technical growth and excellence

Our take

A transition to a decarbonized energy future is vital if the world is to avoid climate disaster, but adapting existing infrastructure is a complex and costly undertaking. Adia is addressing this, by leveraging AI-generated digital twins and smart devices to support the transition even for the most difficult buildings.

By using digital twins, which are digital models of real-world objects, the company will enable the faster assessment of how decarbonization plans will work for specific buildings. This should empower more effective projects to be undertaken, which are backed up by the confidence of rigorous simulation and testing.

Adia's first product, Adia Thermal, on which it is currently focussed, is designed to enable rapid and low cost heat pump installations for the mass market. As the company is addressing a very present problem, there is certainly promise for its future, so long as its offering stands up to its mission.
