Role
Who you are
- 5-7+ years of experience in content, communications, or digital editorial roles
- Strong portfolio spanning web, app, social media, and/or partner content strategy
- Proven ability to manage and implement cross-platform content strategies in the most efficient way
- Strong writing, editing, and messaging skills, especially in health, science, or B2C tech
- Deep understanding of brand tone, editorial standards, and structured content
- Vast experience in collaborating and managing designers, agencies, freelancers, and stakeholders (internal and external)
- Familiarity with SEO, accessibility, and content localization
- Fluent in English (native speaker is preferred). Additional language skills, especially Dutch, or German are a plus
- Excellent project management skills is a must
What the job involves
- As Content & Communications Specialist, you will lead the end-to-end content lifecycle across all channels, formats, and touchpoints, from top-of-funnel storytelling and educational campaigns to in-app copy and partner-facing materials.
- You’ll be the guardian of SkinVision’s voice, tone, and content standards and will drive the evolution of our content ecosystem to engage, educate, and convert audiences while maintaining clinical credibility and brand integrity.

- Content Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and lead a unified content strategy across:
- Website and blog (WordPress)
- Social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- App stores (Google Play / App Store listings, visuals, ASO)
- In-app content (onboarding, educational tooltips, push copy)
- Partner websites and external channels (co-branded placements, guest posts, content toolkits)
- Build and manage a multi-channel editorial calendar tied to campaign, product, and brand
- Define content types, audience journeys, tone-of-voice applications, and KPIs for each platform
- Coordinate localization, translation, and regional content planning with internal and external teams
- Content Production & Execution:
- Manage content production across formats:
- Web content: articles, blogs, different type of content blocks
- Social media content (copy, carousels, short and long form videos)
- Campaign assets (landing pages, email copy, email assets, testimonials)
- App store listings and updates
- App content: onboarding, alerts, learn modules
- Oversee the full content lifecycle: briefing → scripting → stakeholder review → QA → publishing
- Collaborate with designers, freelancers, medical advisors, and marketing leads
- Content Governance & Brand Quality:
- Ensure all content adheres to:
- SkinVision’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual style
- Regulatory and medical communication standards
- Accessibility and localization best practices
- Maintain, evolve, and educate teams on the content style guide and production
- QA all outgoing content: web, app, social, or external-facing before it goes live
- Website Management:
- Lead the content structure and strategy for skinvision.com
- Ensure site content is up-to-date, well-structured, mobile-optimized, and conversion-friendly
- Manage global content blocks, categories, SEO elements, and featured sections
- Identify and fill gaps across the content funnel, from education to conversion
- Social Media Management:
- Define SkinVision's social media strategy
- Plan and execute social media content (organic and support for paid)
- Manage asset production, tone calibration, and performance optimization
- External Content & Partnerships:
- Create, adapt, and manage co-branded or syndicated content for partner platforms
- Collaborate with external partners, clinic, and research partners to create or approve:
- Educational articles, landing pages, press features
- Use-case content and testimonials
- Co-branded campaigns and announcements
- Ensure all external content reflects SkinVision’s standards and message
- Performance & Optimization:
- Define success metrics for each content channel (e.g., engagement, traffic, CTR, downloads)
- Monitor analytics (GA4, app stores, social) and report on content performance
- Use data to iterate content strategy, formats, and channel focus
Our take
SkinVision’s AI driven app allows anyone with a smartphone to track and assess skin irregularities and receive feedback within thirty seconds. It’s important to note that the app does not provide a diagnosis, instead it indicates a risk factor from which users can decide to see a medical expert.
It’s one of quite a few apps of its kind to emerge in the last few years – including Google’s Derm Assist. Given that in western countries, skin cancer is the most common cancer, any tech developments that help reduce severe illness and death is most welcome.
However, there has been some criticism of the performance of SkinVision and other apps of its ilk, especially when it comes to analysing non-Caucasian skin tones. This opens up another avenue of questions about unequal image samples in medical databases, rather than the app developers themselves.
That being said, for SkinVision to make the difference it's committed to, the bottom line will be the accuracy of its results, for which further product innovation is crucial.
