Who you are
- We would like you to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- You are adept at using systems to identify and implement process improvements
- You are someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by opportunities and challenges
- A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. Your collaboration and communication skills are essential for building strong relationships across the finance team and with key business stakeholders

What the job involves
- At Checkatrade, we’re building the UK’s go-to home improvement marketplace. Every day, we help millions of homeowners find the right tradesperson for the job, fast, fair, and without the faff
- We/re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Financial Accountant (temporary) to join our team
- This is an exciting time to be part of our organization as we navigate a period of significant growth and change
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Financial Control in the delivery of the External and Internal Reporting requirements of the business, alongside driving systems and process improvements
- The primary focus will be supporting the financial control team during a busy period of systems implementation.
- Spotting ways to improve how we support with the internal and external audit providing the auditors with all requests in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of the audit process
- Collaborating with external parties to ensure timely reporting and provide month end reporting of intragroup balances to other group entities
- Making sure every interaction leaves people feeling confident in Checkatrade
