Who you are
- The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a startup tech environment
- 4 to 6 years of experience in event execution, event operations, or project management roles
- Proven experience executing virtual and in-person events end-to-end, with strong attention to detail
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets, and multiple concurrent events
- Experience coordinating vendors, venues, A/V production, and event logistics
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and keep projects on track in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and adapt quickly during live event execution
- Experience tracking and reporting on event performance metrics
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, and cross-functional environment
- Experience working in a startup environment

What the job involves
- Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious Events Project Manager, remote to join our remote team. The Events Project Manager will bring our virtual and in-person experiences to life
- In this role, you’ll own events end-to-end from initial planning through live execution and post-event reporting ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed and every experience reflects our brand at the highest standard
- You’ll join a movement from the ground floor and a team of purpose-driven people with a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride that we’re building this thing together
- You’ll combine passion, purpose, and a paycheck—Visit.org team members get out of bed every day knowing their work is meaningful and has a tangible impact on individuals and communities around the world
- Own end-to-end execution of virtual and in-person events, including roundtables, webinars, and conferences
- Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and run-of-show documents to ensure seamless delivery
- Coordinate all event logistics, including venue management, vendor coordination, A/V production, speaker logistics, and on-site execution
- Serve as the central project manager across internal teams (marketing, content, design, sales) to ensure alignment and timely execution
- Manage event operations workflows and processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability
- Support the execution of event-related marketing assets and communications (registration pages, email sends, promotional materials)
- Lead on-site and virtual event execution, troubleshooting in real time to ensure a high-quality attendee experience
- Track and report on event performance and operational metrics, ensuring accurate post-event reporting
- Maintain consistent and high-quality brand execution across all event touchpoints
Our take
Visit.org used to host a marketplace of socially impactful travel experiences. But, when travel restrictions and transmission earnings kicked in, it pivoted sharply. Now, it helps companies meet corporate social responsibility (CSR) pressure by providing a curated package of remote, socially impactful activities.
It’s a smart move. CSR pressure is growing as investor expectations regarding social impact are rising. Moreover, it will help companies boost their appeal to younger employees, a majority of whom say they won’t accept jobs from companies with poor CSR policies.
Visit.org’s offering, which additionally helps companies tailor their remote social impact packages by providing employee-preference analytics, is proving both an affordable and reputationally lucrative solution. A large raft of corporate customers including Dolby, Twitch, and IBM will help cement its position going forward.
