Who you are

You have a BS/MS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent
You have 10+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems
Experience in building consumer facing applications with a frontend framework(s), such as React (preferable), Svelte Angular, Vue or Ember
Experience building well-designed software with NodeJS or Golang
Experience developing consumer facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
Knowledge of full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals
Strong focus on code quality and code reviews
Experience with mentoring other engineers
Previous startup experience strongly preferred with growth and product engineering mindset

What the job involves

Narvar is growing! We are looking for Senior Fullstack Software Engineers that enjoy working on both APIs and UIs. In this role, you will build products that power the post-purchase experience for the biggest brands in the retail industry
As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on our customer-facing products and work with modern technologies like Java, NodeJS, Python, React, and GraphQL to ship complex features that drive millions of views
Frontend Development (Primary Focus):
Implement new product features & support/ extend existing ones
Build frontend platform components leveraged across our internal, external products and ecommerce storefronts like Shopify, Salesforce etc
Contribute to our overall architecture and maintain code quality standards by partnering with other senior engineers
Work with product and design teams to translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI components
Backend Development (Secondary Focus):
Contribute to development and maintenance of backend services using Golang, Node.js
Understanding of google cloud platform (GCP) , CI/CD and be able to deploy code and infrastructure components
Work with databases like postgres, spanner, bigquery
Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs

Narvar aims to improve this situation with an integrated delivery and returns platform for retailers, providing analytics on client data to the retailer and optimizes shipping channels for customers.

Narvar is a market leader in this sector, active in almost every country and territory worldwide and having made more than 2B shipments since its founding in 2012. Its post-purchase customer experience platform is used by over 1,500 companies including household name retailers such as Sephora, GAP and Levis, among many others.

Narvar has secured many strategic partnerships such as linking up with Rise.ai, a leading gift card and store credit platform. This allows stores to simplify returns by enabling merchants to issue Rise's store credit as part of the returns process. While Narvar is currently focused on retailers providing shipping solutions for their customers, the company plans to expand to offer a B2B product in the near future.
