Data Engineering Manager, Canoe

• The ideal candidate will have experience with data modeling, pipelines, and infrastructure, as well as be a strong technical leader that has a history of delivering impactful results
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 in a data engineering role
• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams and managing ICs
• Demonstrated experience working cross functionally with Product and other Engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguous or missing information and adapt quickly in a startup-like environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for getting involved in both technical details and high-level strategy
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of six data engineers
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting professional growth and development
• Drive the hiring process to attract top talent
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize technical projects
• Drive the design and development of Canoe’s data platform
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion
• Identify and mitigate risks, remove roadblocks, and ensure a continuous flow of information within the team
• Adapt to changing requirements and provide innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
