Role
Who you are
- A deep understanding of both frontend and backend technologies and building with LLMs, with 5+ years of experience in using Typescript, React and Python to ship user-facing applications
- Experience building LLM-centred products, preferably involving agentic workflows and/or conversational voice AI
- Strong design sensibilities with the ability to translate them into intuitive and beautiful frontend user interfaces
- Strong software engineering experience with the ability to pragmatically think through software design and architecture to ship rapidly while scaling to hundreds of thousands of users
- You can ship at high velocity without compromising on quality and are comfortable figuring out how to build things you haven't built before
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable
- Experience building in consumer
- Knowledge of WebRTC and frameworks to power real-time audio conversations (Pipecat, LiveKit, Daily etc.)
- Experience working with agentic frameworks such as Langchain to develop production-grade systems
What the job involves
- As a full stack engineer at Pendulum, you will work with our small but mighty team to develop intuitive user interfaces for voice-first interactions and contribute to the backend AI systems and infrastructure that supports these interactions
- Examples of recent full-stack work we have shipped include: handling real-time transcription over a WebRTC connection using Whisper models and streaming transcripts back to the frontend; developing a conversational voice AI system which can be interrupted by the user mid-speech; and giving our core conversational LLM agentic abilities to autonomously generate images based on conversational context
