Who you are
- Currently based in the United States or Canada
- 4+ years of backend-focused experience writing code in a professional setting
- Strong proficiency in building distributed systems in Go
- Experience with or deep interest in LLMs, AI agents, and related technologies
- Self-motivated with a creative and analytical mindset
- Thrives in fast-paced environments where you can take ideas from concept to production quickly
Desirable

- Experience building on top of or integrating with LLM APIs and AI models
- Experience scaling a SaaS application from 0 users to thousands (and hopefully millions)
- A background in developer tooling, platform engineering, or IaC

- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, model deployment, or MLOps
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer excited about shaping the future of developer tooling powered by AI
- At Coder, you will have the opportunity to explore, design, and implement the next generation of AI-powered developer tools that seamlessly integrate into developers' workflows while maintaining enterprise-grade security
- Research, design and build AI-powered tools that leverage LLMs and AI agents to dramatically improve developer productivity
- Help define what it means to run AI agents securely at scale, establishing best practices for enterprise environments
- Work with cutting-edge AI technologies to create seamless, painless developer experiences
- Provide mentorship and guidance around contribution best practices to both internal team members and external contributors
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams at Coder, as well as with partners like JetBrains, to execute key product integrations
- Rapidly iterate from prototype to implementation in a highly adaptive, reactive team environment
