What the job involves
- As an Account Manager on the Strategic Partnerships team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the most interesting companies in healthcare as we collectively redesign the mental health industry
- Your role will be instrumental to the collective success of SonderMind and our Partners
- We’re looking for someone who is customer obsessed and sees the opportunities to serve even when they may not be obvious
- From implementation through reporting, you’ll own and manage these key relationships with attention to detail, creativity, and humility to ensure mutual success
- Lead day to day management of multiple partner accounts
- Ensure operational processes are meeting defined SLAs and optimized for our partners
- Keep regular cadence of meetings and reporting with partners to ensure mutual success
- Report to internal leadership on a regular basis identifying risks, mitigations, and additional opportunities
- Occasionally supporting sales activities and outreach, as needed
- Support partnership implementation with cross-functional teams including operations, product, provider, clinical, and payor teams
- Develop solutions to issues and actions to optimize partnership outcomes
- Create account management plans to meet predetermined goals and quotas
- Unearthing new opportunities to grow partner accounts
- You’ve taken over day-to-day management of 2 to 3 key accounts in your first 90 days
- You’ve mapped and understand key stakeholders in each account and are actively managing those relationships
- You’ve learned the business case for each partnership, understand the current operations, and can manage the cross-functional tasks necessary to ensure success
- You’ve developed account management plans for each partner account assigned to you
- You’ve started to see areas for improvement and are updating your account plans for each partner

Demand for mental health services in the U.S. is soaring, yet therapeutic services are generally expensive, uniform, and hard to access for the majority of people. This is mainly due to the fact that most mental health practitioners don't accept insurance or work within a healthcare infrastructure.
SonderMind tackles the shortage of accessible mental health services by providing a digital network that matches the specific needs of patients with mental health specialists. What's more, the patient’s insurance coverage network is considered when determining a match, allowing users to find personalized therapeutic services that fit within their budget.
In addition to its therapy recommendation service, Sondermind also provides tools for therapy booking, organization, and billing. Ultimately, the startup has taken an interesting stance within the therapy landscape by focusing on providing personalized and easy-to-use booking services that are flexible within different budgets and insurance plans.
