Senior Accountant, Waabi

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or high-growth company experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of US GAAP fundamentals
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or Ramp is a plus
• Experience in integrating AI tools into day-to-day operations
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Desirable

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle - invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing to ensure all payments are made on time; own vendor communications and resolve billing or payment issues. Assist with accounts receivable
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including the close calendar and task tracking
• Support and maintain the monthly consolidation schedules
• Prepare analytics and supporting schedules for the month-end close review
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and reclassifications
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with audit preparation, including supporting schedules and documentation
• Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Collaborate with FP&A, HR, purchasing and other teams to support reporting and operational needs
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
