Role
Who you are
- You’re a natural salesperson and as your focus is on high value clients, you’ll have a consultative strategic sales style
- You have a skill for listening and understanding your clients, sometimes reading between the lines to get to the core of who they are and what they need
- You’ll be highly organised, adopting a structured way of working and always looking for ways to improve and grow your sales skills
- Proven success in a new business field sales role with high spending accounts
- You will have experience in prospecting to self-generate new business appointments
- Experience with UK and International clients
What the job involves
- As a Direct National Consultant, you will be reporting to the National Direct Sales Manager, and you will be responsible for selling Out of Home Advertising space to large spending small and medium sized businesses
- Your dedicated sales team will sell to a broad range of clients spanning public and private sectors and you will focus purely on large value national businesses with complex needs
- You’ll be an expert within your client’s industries, understanding their business needs and their annual activity allowing you to sell our products at the right time to suit their needs. You’ll be tasked with not only new business acquisition but growing your client accounts
- Identifying and developing new prospects
- Prospecting and self-generating new business appointments
- Winning new business from prospects
- Developing local market intelligence
- Developing and managing existing clients
- Working smartly, planning your new business in advance, and working methodically
- You’ll embed yourself in your clients’ markets and grow your own professional brand as the go to person for advertising expertise, understanding how you compete and compliment other media, growing your share of the market
- Aligning yourself closely with the Direct Sales Operations functions, fostering good relationships which allow you to work in the most efficient way

However, securing OOH advertisement real estate can be tough, requiring businesses to source deals and communicate with commercial landlords & local authorities.
Clear Channel partners with commercial landlords, infrastructure providers, and local authorities to offer seamless advertisement experiences to its clients. The company focuses on offering digital billboards and posters, providing five different models depending on the campaign scale.
Whilst Clear Channel will face stiff competition from other UK-based OOH media owners, the company has been smart to form partnerships with commercial landlords and other relevant parties, acting as a middleman. The company also shows promise to increase access to OOH advertisements with its varied pricing options, overall making it easier for brands of any scale to reach offline audiences.
