Who you are

Bachelor’s student in Computer Science or related field required (Master's students preferred)
Knowledge and proficiency in modern software development languages, like C++ and/or Python
Experience or interest in creating end-to-end robotics applications or have built/integrated robotic hardware (i.e. workcells) in industry
Familiarity with ROS 2 and its major frameworks
Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems in full-stack software, artificial intelligence, and robotics
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Are you passionate about democratizing robotics? We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Robotics Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge robotics application using Intrinsic Flowstate
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art robotics frameworks while contributing to development of dual-arm manipulation functions for electronic assembly
Participate in the creation of end-to-end robotics applications or the integration of robotic hardware (workcells) in an industrial setting
Contribute towards the development of robotics capabilities on our platform and Flowstate
Develop tools and intuitive interfaces for various robot functionalities, such as APIs for authoring, editing, and simulating robot workcells

Our take

Intrinsic believes access to automation through robotics is critical to the future of humanity. With this as its vision, the start-up is building a software platform for intelligent robotics to make them accessible and usable.

The company has made a series of acquisitions, including Akasha Imaging, fellow software company Vicarious, which received backing from the likes of Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, and robotics platform developer Open Robotics. These integrations have been a huge step forward for Intrinsic’s mission of democratising robotics.

Still relatively new to the game (the company was founded in 2021), Intrinsic appears to remain focused on building out its operations, including by continuing to recruit quality experts as well as working with leading roboticists on product development.
