Principal Applied Scientist, Egnyte

• 10+ years of professional experience in data science with a proven track record in building and supporting production grade ML systems
• Must be highly proficient in Python modern features with hands-on experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Used popular Python web frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, and Django
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and/or computer vision techniques
• Experience working with RAG pipelines and LLMs in production
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing platforms like GCP
• Strong understanding of ML lifecycle and MLOps practices
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana and logging systems e.g. ELK stack
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability and observability
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience providing technical leadership to engineers
• Willingness to be in office 3 days per week

• As a Principal Applied Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Gen AI at Egnyte by defining technical strategy, driving the development of predictive models and insights, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into actionable business solutions at scale
• You will mentor and guide data science teams while providing expertise in state-of-the-art AI/ML practices, ensuring a robust production pipeline and the professional management of models
• Develop and own the data science roadmap that aligns with Egnyte’s business goals
• Define success metrics and oversee the entire lifecycle of data initiatives from concept to production deployment
