Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 10 years of quota-carrying software sales experience
- At least 5 years at a cybersecurity or encryption related company
- Strong knowledge of the network security industry and technologies
- Track record of hitting quota by qualifying and closing consultative sales, particularly multi-year and subscription-based services
- Exceptional ability to create and foster relationships across enterprise C-suite executives and build consensus among the buying team
- Exceptional time and people management skills to marshal resources and advance opportunities
- Proven record of driving and closing large, lengthy sales cycles, ability to understand, articulate, and lead complex sales processes
- Previous experience collaborating with Channel Partners to advance opportunities and generate leads
- Strong connections and knowledge of how to sell in your region: EU, US, Japan, or US Government
What the job involves
- You will be responsible for selling the full range of Quantinuum cybersecurity suite of products. In this role you will locate, qualify, propose and close deals in an effective and efficient manner
- Your focus will be on new customer acquisition and expanding our offerings with existing customers
- You will have previous experience in selling cybersecurity solutions, with a demonstrable track record of closing large deals across a product suite
- Develop expertise in the Quantinuum product set and broader encryption market
- Discover and understand your prospect’s needs and how our solution meets those needs. Gain a deep understanding of the prospect’s processes and problems
- Learn the competitive landscape to help educate prospects and more effectively sell
- Develop relationships with champions and multiple decision influencers in your accounts. Travel regularly to meet prospects in person and attend conferences. Network in the industry and target accounts to develop new business
- Prepare and run polished, value-driven presentations to stakeholders. Deploy a customer-centric approach in your selling process. Connect the prospect’s business objectives with Quantinuum solutions
- Deploy strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade and influence decision makers and executives
- Learn and carefully execute our sales process. Lead enterprise agreements to close with proactive action. Strive to understand your prospect’s buying process
- Strive to hit your sales targets. Collaborate with our outbound team to fill your pipeline
- Maintain CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting
- Act with professionalism, integrity and a strong personal commitment to success
Our take
The processing power of quantum computing (QC) promises to yield substantial advances across dozens of diverse industries, from the development of pharmaceuticals, to the chemical industry and financial services. Billions are being poured into the steady development of these computers, both into the hardware and the specialised software which can harness these devices.
Quantinuum was formed from the merger of Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell, QC software and hardware firms, respectively. These two highly respected companies had independently made quite a stir in the QC space and attracted substantial investment. Their merger has created the world's largest integrated QC company, able to build and operate quantum computers at both the hardware and software levels.
The organisation has moved fast and has already developed software and hardware for the application of QC in chemistry, natural language processing, machine learning, algorithms, and cybersecurity. All of these are exceedingly lucrative and high-stakes areas of business, and it is leaders in precisely these sectors (Google, for example, and IBM) who are investing so heavily in the QC project.
Quantinuum's software is system agnostic, allowing the advances it makes to be used on other quantum computers as well as its own, opening up major business opportunities. So Quantinuum is working in conjunction with some of the sector’s major players, whilst also pursuing high-value customers and lucrative market opportunities.
