Who you are

Experience in the legal, insurance or medical fields with an emphasis on writing (e.g. paralegals, case managers, claim adjustors, legal assistants or technical writers)
Strong persuasive writing skills and attention to detail
Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and collaborate with reviewers and various teams across the company
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with the ability to swiftly pick up new processes and software
Knowledge of personal injury law, medical summaries, or copywriting/editing experience is a plus

What the job involves

Legal Operations Associates help ensure that the demand letters (legal documents with accompanying exhibits that illustrate an injured party's economic and non-economic damages resulting from a personal injury incident) we deliver to our clients are accurate, effective, and high quality
Our Associates are on the front lines of our mission to ensure that personal injury victims receive the compensation they're entitled to
Work with our proprietary software online portal to review medical documentation, write concise and detailed treatment summaries, organize damages, establish treatment timelines, and conduct legal research to draft compelling demand letters
Work against a weekly quota and with the opportunity to be rewarded with a bonus for high-quality production above the quota

Our take

Every year, millions of personal injury cases in the US are resolved with only a small fraction going to trial, leaving many victims potentially under-compensated due to inaccurate settlement proposals. EvenUp aims to change this by leveraging AI technology to streamline the assessment of injury cases.

The AI tools evaluate raw case files, including medical and police records, creating tailored "demand packages" that present comprehensive compensation arguments. This improves lawyer performance and victim outcomes.

Despite concerns about AI bias and privacy, EvenUp has garnered significant investor interest, closing a funding round in 2025 that was one of the largest in the history of legal AI. Now valued at over $2 billion, it is investing in its team and introducing new techniques and products for personal injury and other legal areas.
