Who you are
- Sales professional with previous experience in a similar environment. Forwarding Industry is a plus
- Able to handle multiple vertical and horizontal stakeholders, with multicultural backgrounds, internal and external stakeholders. Prior international working experience is a plus
- Able to think outside the box, deliver innovative solutions and ways of working
- Flexibility while remain accurate under stressful situations
- Has strong communication skills and good commercial sense
- Is proactive, able to take ownership, is willing to go the extra mile for customers and build long term relationships
- Fluency in Spanish and English (B2 minimum) language is a must
- Willingness to travel
- Must possess strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent ability to problem solve and deal with a variety of concrete variables
What the job involves
- As our new Sales Representative, you will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, on national basis, therefore offers wide range of knowledge, experience and is a perfect step to a successful career development
- Manages assigned customers and budget base; pursues and secures business in line with the business objectives
- Probes and identifies customer needs and provides solutions
- Builds a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base
- Communicates significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts
- Researches and understands the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers
- Researches and analyses competitive and industry trends
- Ensures customer relationship management tools are updated on time and are of excellent quality
- Is typically responsible for medium impact customers to the business in any size cluster
Our take
Maersk is a Copenhagen-based integrated container logistics company. Originally known for its fleet of enormous ships, the company is now active in ocean and inland freight transformation and related services, including supply chain management and port operation.
Until 2022, it was the largest shipping line by container capacity, before being unseated by Mediterranean Shipping Company. This can be accounted to the recent, strategic decision to change course, shifting its focus away from shipping and toward associated but more profitable services, including air freight, trucking, and selling logistics software. This places Maersk in an exciting position for potential growth. It is now reinventing itself as a one-stop shop for every step of the supply chain.
Another key aspect of this transformation is to become net-zero by 2040. The company has a more immediate goal to ensure 30% of ocean journeys will be powered using sustainable fuels. Maersk’s decarbonisation efforts not only ensure a greener future, but a more competitive one for global trade.
