Who you are
- 5+ years of professional project/ program management experience, in an agency or in-house marketing environment
- 3+ years of indirect people management experience
- Ability to manage multiple marketing programs and work streams at a single time
- Experience with creating processes or operational frameworks and working with project management tools
- Understanding of creative processes and workflows
- Comfortable liaising with different departments, stakeholders, team leads, and navigating against competing priorities
- Proven success communicating cross functionally
- Willingness to dive deep problem solve where needed to unblock work
- Positive attitude and understands the importance of assuming positive intent
- PMP, PgMP or Certified Scrum Master preferred
What the job involves
- The Planning and Program Management team is looking for an experienced Marketing Program Manager to own the management and health of marketing programs, and manage the lifecycle of key cross functional projects that feed into those programs
- This role will develop reporting structures to report out on key success metrics of our marketing programs that have been defined by the marketing leadership team, and be responsible for tracking the overall health of those programs
- This role will also manage the project lifecycle of pillar projects that are critical to the success of the marketing programs
- The ideal candidate will know how to work in a fast paced environment and balance the execution of work while setting project level operational cadences, workflows, and governance for smooth delivery
- This role will own documentation for the PMO team in terms of processes, workflows, and project specific rhythms for marketing, and partnering with the Manager, Marketing Strategic Ops to ensure the project level governance is accounted for and part of the overall marketing governance
- This position is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Sr Manager, Marketing Planning and Program Management
- Manage projects for high-impact launches, campaigns, and corporate initiatives
- Gain a deep understanding of program goals and success metrics and support to identify priorities within program work
- Oversee and set operational cadences on pillar marketing cross-functional initiatives to help manage scope, workback plan creation, and deliverables including kick-offs and retrospectives where needed
- Ensure projects and/or campaigns has the appropriate measurement plan and clearly defined success metrics
- Manage marketing post-mortems on larger cross-functional initiatives to support with process improvements
- Collaborate with multiple partners, builds positive relationships, and leads a cross-functional project team towards desired outcomes
- Communicate best practices when working cross functionally between campaign owners, creative teams, and other teams within marketing
- Manage multiple programs/ projects simultaneously
- Follow and contribute to standards, best practices, processes/ frameworks, and documentation for the program management team
- Support to the team as we continually work to simplify systems and processes, avoiding customization bloat and over-engineered processes
- Proactively flag project risks that would impact the marketing goals
- Create and standardize project communication plans
- Organizes information quickly and summarizes it succinctly within a specified deadline to move the project forward
