What the job involves
- You’ll be part of the Beyond team; a multidisciplinary line-up who are focused on taking our Beyond loyalty program to the next level. You’ll lead a small go-to-market team with a big mission to deliver industry-defining experiences for our customers
- Reporting to: Head of Beyond
- Development and delivery of our customer engagement strategy for OVO Beyond: driving churn reduction and increased value perception
- Leading our go-to-market activity for Beyond, working with Product Marketing and supporting Growth functions to increase activations and drive app engagement
- Performance analysis and reporting: Carrying out regular analysis on Beyond performance to continuously improve proposition performance and future development plans, with the support of the data team. Presenting key stats back to senior stakeholders
- Team alignment: Working with Engineering and Product leads as well as embedded support functions to make sure the team is operating like a well oiled machine. Maintaining a high level view of the work going on in each area
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment and integration across Product, Tech, Brand, Marketing, Legal, Propositions and customer support teams, overcoming organisational barriers to get stuff done!
- Shaping and managing annual budget, preparing value case for Beyond and working with channel owners to interlock supporting activity

On average, home energy represents 26% of our carbon footprint. Ovo Energy wants to bring this to zero by providing cheaper, greener and simpler energy to customers. They are analysing meter data to deliver easy, personalised actions, turning electric vehicles into power stations with clever chargers, and building energy-efficient heaters. For households, their offering is organised into four different energy plans. that include interest rewards on energy credit balance.
In 2020, OVO completed the acquisition of SSE Energy Services' retail arm for £500 million, meaning that the challenger brand now has around 4 million customers in the UK.
While helping Ovo members halve their carbon footprints, the company is also working towards becoming a net zero carbon business by 2035. The challenges ahead for the company include encouraging consumer behaviour change, shifting towards subscription models for home energy use.
