Who you are

Proven success as a top-performing, quota-carrying sales professional, ideally in a B2B or commoditized industry. Employee benefits experience is a significant plus
Previous experience in a sales management role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding team sales goals
A strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and execute effectively
Strong analytical skills and comfort with using data to drive decisions
Exceptional communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
A hands-on approach with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team
Adaptability, creativity, and resilience in the face of challenges
Willingness and ability to secure a Life & Health license within 90 days of the start date
7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, including 3+ years in a management role overseeing sales teams
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a focus on coaching and professional development
Experience in B2B or channel sales; knowledge of the employee benefits industry is highly preferred
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and tools (e.g., Salesforce, sales enablement platforms)
A collaborative and personable approach to building relationships with internal teams, brokers, and partners
High energy, motivation, and drive to succeed in a competitive and dynamic environment

What the job involves

Hire, manage, and coach a team of high-performing Market Development Executives to drive growth and success in their territories
Develop and enforce activity and results quotas to ensure consistent and measurable performance across the team
Build and refine sales strategies, ensuring alignment with Beam’s overarching goals
Use data and reporting to diagnose sales performance, identify market trends, and resolve challenges related to pricing, market penetration, and broker outreach
Establish best practices for organizational discipline and broker engagement
Manage and nurture several large enterprise relationships with National Broker Partners
Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
