Senior Copywriter, Roamless

• We’re looking for a Native English Senior Copywriter (ideally from the US living in the UK) who is equal parts lifestyle storyteller and sharp advertising professional
• Someone who understands travel culture at a visceral level, the anticipation of a new city, the rhythm of airports, the feeling of being somewhere for the first time, and can translate that into commercial messaging that inspires and actually converts
• Experience: 5+ years in advertising, brand, or editorial copywriting, with a portfolio that shows both storytelling range and conversion-focused performance copy
• Native English: Native-level English (UK, US, Canadian, or Australian), preferably someone from the US living in the UK. Flawless instinct for tone, rhythm, and what makes a sentence land
• Travel Culture: Deep, lived understanding of travel culture. You’ve traveled extensively, and it shows in your writing. A lifelong traveler, not someone who takes one holiday a year, but someone for whom travel is part of their identity
• Range: Proven ability to write across registers: aspirational brand narrative one hour, punchy paid ad the next. Equally comfortable writing a lyrical brand manifesto and a 5-word CTA that outperforms
• Cultural Fluency: You know why the same headline works differently in New York vs. London vs. Melbourne. Culturally curious and plugged into how people actually talk about travel
• Craft & Originality: Strong portfolio of headline writing, campaign copy, and short-form work that demonstrates sharpness and originality. Obsessed with language. You notice bad copy everywhere and can’t help rewriting it in your head
• Data-Informed: Experience with A/B testing and data-informed copy optimization. You care about what converts, not just what sounds good
• Advertising Professional: A true advertising professional who understands that great copy is strategy made visible. Collaborative, fast-moving, and energized by a high-output environment

• You’ll be the voice of Roamless across every touchpoint: campaigns, performance ads, social media, email journeys, CRM, app store, landing pages, partnerships, and editorial content
• We’re looking for someone with the sensibility of the best travel editorial: warm, evocative, culturally rich writing that makes you feel the dust on a Sicilian road or the quiet of a Tokyo side street, combined with the precision of an advertising copywriter who knows how to write a headline that stops a thumb and a CTA that drives action
• This role is about tone, positioning, aspiration, rhythm, and, most importantly, cultural relevance for a million+ English-speaking user base across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia
• You won’t just write copy; you’ll define how Roamless speaks to the world
• Brand Copywriting & Commercial Storytelling: Write copy that positions Roamless as an aspirational travel brand across campaigns, landing pages, email journeys, CRM flows, brand partnerships, and editorial content
• Craft compelling narratives that build desire and emotional connection with travelers. Develop headlines that convert and body copy that inspires action
• Create messaging that resonates culturally across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, understanding that “English” is not one audience but several
• Write across registers: aspirational brand manifesto one hour, punchy social ad the next
• Social Media Copy: Write engaging social media copy across platforms that drives interaction and builds community. Develop platform-native captions, hooks, and storytelling formats tailored to each channel’s audience and algorithm
• Craft copy for organic posts, paid social campaigns, influencer briefs, and UGC frameworks
• Collaborate with the Art Director, Creative Director and Social Media Strategist on social content calendars and campaign narratives
• Write in a voice that feels human, culturally relevant, and unmistakably Roamless
• Performance & Conversion Copy: Write high-performing ad copy (paid social, search, display, app store) with sharp CTAs and persuasive hooks
• Develop A/B testing frameworks for copy optimization
• Create subject lines, push notifications, and in-app messaging that drive measurable results
• Produce multiple variations at pace without losing quality or brand coherence. Collaborate with Growth and CRM teams on conversion-focused copy needs
• Localization Oversight: Manage and quality-check localization across 10+ languages. Build localization guidelines and glossaries
• Ensure brand voice, cultural nuance, and conversion intent survive translation in every market. Create master copies that are translation-friendly by design
• Channels: Performance Marketing, Social Media (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), CRM & Email, App Store & In-App, Landing Pages, Campaigns, Partnerships, Editorial Content. You also have the possibility to work with external freelance copywriters for support
• Full-time role, permanent contract via EOR (Remote.com)
